Meet the Team: Alex
Head of Technology at HumanX
Name: Alex Anikeev
Title: Head of Technology
How long you have been at HumanX: 5 months
What’s your background, and what brought you to HumanX?
My background is in software engineering and tech leadership. Over the past few years, I’ve worked across several teams at Web Summit, leading the Acquisition team and helping build systems that powered events around the world.
I joined HumanX because I was excited about shaping a new kind of tech event - something fast-moving, innovative, and built in a dynamic startup environment where I can stay close to cutting-edge technology.
If someone’s on the fence about attending, what would you tell them?
If you really want to see where tech is heading - beyond the buzzwords and hype - HumanX is the place to be. It’s faster and full of genuine conversations about innovation and impact.
How would you describe HumanX in 3 words?
Innovative. Fast-moving. Real.
How has AI changed the way you work?
Surprisingly, the way I work hasn’t changed much - I just work with AI instead of people now. Where I used to delegate tasks, guide, and review work from team members, I now do the same with AI tools: writing clear task descriptions, defining the expected output, making sure the task is well understood, and verifying that the resulting code and solutions are no worse than what a skilled engineer would produce.
I do miss the human side - helping real people grow and develop - but from a product perspective, this new way is undeniably more efficient.
What’s one tool or habit that helps you stay on top of your game, either personally or professionally?
Not being afraid to dive into the unknown. I rely on my experience to find patterns and similarities with what I already know, and that helps me quickly get up to speed with new technologies or concepts. Constant learning is what keeps me at the edge of my field.
What’s one thing that always makes your day better?
Seeing the real impact of the work I do - when something I’ve built makes a difference, even in a small way, it always makes my day better.
