Meet the Team: Billy
Account Executive at HumanX
Name: Billy Suib
Title: Account Executive
How long you have been at HumanX: 1 year in August 2026
What’s your background, and what brought you to HumanX?
I’ve spent my entire career in sales, working across dozens of trade shows and industries. I was first introduced to the trade show world in 2019 while working on the National Hardware Show, and I’ve been hooked ever since. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of walking onto the expo floor and seeing over a year of hard work finally come to life—it’s truly unmatched.
When I was asked to join HumanX in August 2025, it was an easy decision. I was already familiar with Jon Weiner’s track record (Shoptalk, Money20/20, HLTH), and the buzz around HumanX even as a first-year event was impossible to ignore. It felt like an opportunity to be part of something special that I couldn’t pass up.
How would you describe HumanX in 3 words?
Organic. Impactful. Necessary.
What’s been your favorite HumanX moment so far?
My favorite part of HumanX so far has not been one specific moment, but has been the people. I’ve been part of many teams throughout my career, and it’s clear the team behind HumanX is just different. Not only is everyone an absolute rock star in their own respective role, they are the most supportive and cohesive team (especially from a Sales Perspective) I’ve ever experienced. With this team, the sky is truly the limit for HumanX.
What’s one thing people would be surprised to learn about your job?
Someone outside of sales might be surprised by how much the role involves beyond just “selling.” It’s not simply about pitching a product or service—it’s about building trust and developing relationships, which isn’t always easy. Most days, you’ll hear 100 “no thanks” before you get a single “sure, let’s chat.” It can be tedious and stressful work, and the results aren’t immediate. You need to be disciplined, thick-skinned, and if you’re someone who needs instant gratification, sales probably isn’t for you.
How has AI changed the way you work?
AI keeps me disciplined and serves as an extension of how I work. It helps me take my best ideas and elevate them to the next level. Before joining HumanX, many of my processes were manual, but since coming on board, I’ve been exposed to tools that streamline my day-to-day work. As a result, less time is spent on repetitive tasks, and more time is focused on being productive and impactful.
What’s a skill or lesson you’ve learned while working at HumanX?
One saying I constantly come back to is, “Control what you can control.” In the trade show world, where things are constantly changing and moving at a fast pace, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and lose sight of the bigger goal. But if each person on the team stays focused on what’s within their control, everything tends to fall into place.
What’s one thing that always makes your day better?
I’ll give you two: my niece and nephew. No matter what kind of day I’m having, a FaceTime or visit with them puts everything into perspective. It’s easy to get caught up in work and our day-to-day, but in a world that often feels chaotic, they remind me to not take things so seriously and focus on what really matters.
What’s something on your desk that tells us a little bit about you?
My last place Fantasy Football Trophy…It acts as a personal reminder that we don’t accept mediocrity in this household
