Eleven speakers. Three questions. Here's what they're thinking before September.
What is Europe doing differently in AI that the rest of the world should be paying attention to?
"Europe is taking a fundamentally different approach to AI. The conversation is less about who builds the biggest models and more about how AI actually functions inside real companies. There is a stronger expectation that AI must be explainable, governed, and tied to measurable business impact from the start. In many European enterprises, AI is not treated as a lab experiment. It’s expected to work inside regulated environments and support real decisions. Every AI recommendation must be auditable, transparent, and tied to tangible economic outcomes."
Bianca Anghelina
Founder & CEO, AILY LABS
"Europe is positioning regulation as a foundational layer of AI infrastructure. The EU AI Act introduces a risk-based framework that defines clearer rules for deploying AI in high stakes environments like finance, healthcare, and critical systems. Europe is also investing in sovereign compute and model capabilities, reflecting growing enterprise demand for resilience, data governance, and regulatory alignment. Europe has also emerged as a strong force in open models. Open weight systems reduce vendor lock-in and give organizations greater flexibility to adapt AI to domain-specific needs."
Juan Pablo Ortega
Co-founder & CEO, Yuno
"Europe’s strength lies in its inherently global ecosystem. Because our geography demands an international outlook from day one, European AI solutions are built to be culturally and linguistically versatile, which is the region’s strength. Furthermore, by designing for the world’s most stringent regulatory standards, we eliminate the need for security retro-engineering. When you meet the highest bar for compliance at the start, global expansion becomes a seamless transition rather than a legal hurdle."
Jarek Kutylowski
Founder & CEO, DeepL
"One of the most fascinating trends to watch in the region is the development of more industry specific applications of AI in sectors including healthcare and pharmaceuticals, industrial operations, and green energy. All of these use cases require an extremely high level of trust, precision, and domain knowledge that have the potential to make major breakthroughs such as climate change or advancing drug discovery timelines that could have a transformative impact on our broader world."
Prashanth Chandrasekar
CEO, Stack Overflow
Give us an example of how you’ve used AI successfully in 2026 so far?
"We built AI agents that handle customer-reported issues end-to-end, reproducing bugs, supporting technical analysis, and generating code changes. These agents have produced more than 200 pull requests merged into production, reducing resolution time by 25%. We also introduced a payments-focused agent that helps customers optimize performance - we call it payment concierge. The agent answers complex operational questions, flags anomalies, recommends improvements, and executes approved actions."
Juan Pablo Ortega
Co-founder & CEO, Yuno
"In 2026, I’ve seen orgs use AI to automate threat hunting across cloud and identity telemetry, cutting detection time from days to hours. And AI securing AI, with runtime guardrails plus specialized runtime detectors and classifiers inspecting prompts, tool calls, and agent context to catch policy violations and attacks like indirect prompt injection."
Diana Kelley
CISO, Noma Security
"This year we shipped agentic capabilities that turn planning and analysis into autonomous workflows. Our Analyst Agent has already saved teams weeks of manual work by proactively uncovering insights and anomalies that usually stay buried. Instead of requiring a team to manually design complex models, logic, and structures upfront, our users - including myself - can now simply describe their intent. Whether it’s a new territory plan or a complex supply chain model, the agent creates that application instantly."
Eléonore Crespo
Co-founder & Co-CEO, Pigment
"Most recently, I built an internal tool using AI to help me get a clear view of how we’re handling customer support conversations. So I built an app that pulls the relevant ticket threads and scores them across a few straightforward parameters: whether the issue was resolved, how long it took, how the customer sentiment evolved, and whether the interaction was actually helpful."
Job van der Voort
Co-founder & CEO, Remote
What are you most looking forward to about speaking at HumanX Amsterdam?
"Enterprise AI is starving for workflow context. Enterprise AI deployments don’t fail because the models aren’t “smart enough.” They fail because the models aren’t TAUGHT enough. There’s an entire missing layer of workflow context — that agents and teams need. Without it, the impact of AI will remain theoretical."
Jennifer Smith
Co-founder & CEO, Scribe
"Exploring what the world could look like if we apply AI to genuinely hard problems, in science, infrastructure, and industry – not just incremental productivity gains."
Sasha Vidiborskiy
Partner, Atomico
"Presenting a fresh take on what it’s like to build run & manage a AI product company."
Des Traynor
Co-founder, Intercom
"I’m eager to see how Europe continues to define its own path in the global AI landscape, particularly as the framework for the EU AI Act takes shape. AI is doing more than just transforming industries; it is fundamentally changing how European companies invest and evolve to stay competitive. I’m excited to dive into those shifts with the people who are leading them."
Tom Eggemeier
CEO, Zendesk
