Aaref Hilaly is a partner at Bain Capital Ventures where he invests in early-stage AI companies, including Contextual AI, Decagon and EvenUp. Prior to joining BCV, he spent seven years as a partner at Sequoia and served on the boards of companies such as Clari and Guardant (NASDAQ: GH). Before becoming an investor, Aaref started out as an entrepreneur, co-founding two companies that were acquired by Sun Microsystems and Symantec.
