Howie Xu is the Chief AI & Innovation Officer at Gen, responsible for new AI products and business. Prior to joining Gen, Howie was the SVP of Engineering and AI/ML at Palo Alto Networks and the VP of ML/AI at Zscaler. He was the CEO and Co-founder of the AI security startup TrustPath before it was acquired by Zscaler. He was also an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Greylock Partners, head of R&D for Cisco’s Cloud Networking and Services Group, and the founding VP of Engineering at Big Switch Networks. During his decade-long tenure at VMware, Howie founded and led VMware’s networking team.
