Nicolas Killian studied economics and computer science in Munich and China (M.Sc.) and worked for several years in the tech industry. He graduated from the German School of Journalism in Munich. Since 2024, he has written about artificial intelligence for the digital section of Die Zeit, and since the beginning of 2025, he has been reporting from San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Since 2026, he has been Die Zeit's AI correspondent.
