Chan is the cofounder and a managing partner at FPV Ventures, which is a $450 million early-stage fund. Chan led Canva's series A and series C rounds. He's also worked on deals for financial services company Plaid, online payroll company Gusto, financial services company Robinhood, and home security system provider Ring.com. He has invested in more than 20 unicorn companies.
Chan's parents immigrated to the U.S. from Hong Kong. He worked as a dishwasher in a biology lab to support his family. He paid his way through MIT, where he graduated with a Masters of Engineering.
