Name: Brian Jones

Title: Event Manager

How long you have been at HumanX: 8 months

What’s your background, and what brought you to HumanX?

Over a decade ago, I kicked off my career in New York City at the intersection of public relations, VIP experiences, and special events—immersed in the worlds of home, fashion, and luxury goods. I had the opportunity to represent some of the most iconic global brands and designers, including Carolina Herrera, Brooks Brothers, Chopard, Omega, Restoration Hardware, Bergdorf Goodman, Donna Karan New York, Swarovski, Elie Saab, Veuve Clicquot, and Banana Republic.

Then, in a twist I never saw coming, I found myself stepping into the conference world—collaborating with some of the biggest names in cybersecurity, data, and AI, including IBM Security, Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, Fortinet, Snowflake, Databricks, TELUS, Denodo, and AWS. What started as unexpected quickly became an entirely new arena to apply my expertise—just on a much larger, more complex stage.

Before joining HumanX, I had the pleasure of working alongside the incredible Becca Britt, who knew I was craving a return to my creative roots. I’ve always been driven by creativity—it’s the throughline in everything I do—and I knew it was time to step back into a space where I could fully bring that to life again. What an exciting time to apply my skills in the world of AI!

Behind the scenes, I had been quietly following what HumanX was building—and I was hooked. It stood out. It felt different, elevated, and intentional. HumanX is anything but basic—and neither am I.

So when the opportunity came at exactly the right moment, it just clicked. I can’t thank Ash and Becca enough for bringing me on board. I truly love this company and its wonderful humans.

What’s one session, speaker, or track you’re personally looking forward to—and why?

I’m truly looking forward to hearing from Al Gore—one of the most influential vice presidents of our time, who helped define the 90s through his advocacy for technology, the internet, and environmental awareness. His work played a key role in shaping both the digital and political landscape of that era. While many seasoned politicians step away after public service, he has remained deeply engaged in global issues. I’m particularly interested in his perspective on how we can responsibly and sustainably advance AI today—and what that looks like at scale.

If someone’s on the fence about attending, what would you tell them?

If you’re on the fence, it might be time to reconsider your priorities—this isn’t your typical conference experience. Don’t be basic, bruh.

What’s one thing people would be surprised to learn about your job?

Most people would be surprised that event operations touch everything. We’re the engine behind the entire experience—constantly solving, adapting, and making things happen in real time. If there isn’t an answer, we’ll find one. Fun fact: I’m slowly becoming an electrician. Before HumanX, voltage and amps meant nothing to me—now it’s part of my everyday language… even if my eyes still cross during some calls with Clarity.

How has AI changed the way you work?

AI has transformed the way I work, especially in such a fast-paced industry. It allows me to bring creative concepts to life in real time—whether that’s visualizing environments, refining ideas, or iterating quickly without starting from scratch. While I don’t sketch and paint as much as I used to, AI has become a powerful creative partner that helps me move faster, think bigger, and execute with more precision.

What’s one thing that always makes your day better?

The pettiness-party channel in Slack. We have some comedians here at HumanX. I live for the moments.

If you could teleport anywhere for lunch, where are you going?

I’m going to give you three because I’m really feeling the vibe right now.

1. Un repas en plein air à Aix-en-Provence—the essence of Provençal living—sun-drenched, relaxed, and effortlessly elegant. Santé to a crisp glass of Sancerre, perfectly paired with a delicate Sole Meunière. Chef’s kiss!

2. A glass of Catena Zapata, perfectly paired with a classic Bife de Chorizo at their vineyard in Mendoza—bold Malbec, fire-grilled steak, and the Andes as your backdrop—an iconic setting for one of Argentina’s most celebrated Malbecs. With a rich, velvety pour in hand and the sun setting over the vines, it’s more than a glass of wine—it’s a destination in itself.

3. Sailing around Lamu Island, just off the shores of Kenya—freshly caught seafood, coconut, and aromatic spices woven into a vibrant fusion of Swahili, Indian, and Middle Eastern flavors.
