He also cofounded and directs Braingels, a group focused on neurotech innovations. Sean serves as a board member, advisor, and investor for various companies and non-profit organizations, including Earth Species Project and The Tech Interactive. Previously, Sean served as Chief R&D Officer of Mozilla and CEO of Brightsky Labs. Recognized for his contributions, Sean is a 2009 Tech for Global Good Laureate and a 2024 inductee to the AWE XR Hall of Fame.
