Mike Krieger creates new products at Anthropic Labs. Previously, Mike co-founded Instagram and served as its CTO. At Instagram, he focused on building a broad range of products to help people connect with their interests and share their passions. As CTO, Mike grew the engineering organization to more than 450 employees across Instagram's offices in Menlo Park, San Francisco, and New York. Mike joined Anthropic's executive team in May 2024, serving as Chief Product Officer from 2024–2025 before taking on his current role with Anthropic Labs. A native of São Paulo, Brazil, Mike speaks fluent Portuguese. He holds an MS in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University and currently resides in San Francisco.
