Meet the Team: Alyson
Marketing Lead, US at HumanX
Name: Alyson Robb
Title: Marketing Lead, US
How long you have been at HumanX: Nearly a year, since June 2025
What’s your background, and what brought you to HumanX?
I started out on the exhibitor side at a health tech company. One of my favorite parts of the job was managing the logistics and onsite presence at conferences and trade shows. At the end of 2019, I made the pivot to the production side of things and officially started my events career…right before a global pandemic.
Since then, it’s been a wild, crazy, unpredictable, rewarding, and fun adventure. My experience has spanned all sorts of technology, including residential and commercial AV, campus safety, population health management, mental health, kitchen & bath design (yes, there’s tech involved!), and now AI.
How would you describe HumanX in 3 words?
Magical. Welcoming. Energizing.
What’s been your favorite HumanX moment so far?
Can I say…all of them? This past April was my first HumanX ever, and nothing could have prepared me for it. The photos, the session recordings, the recaps, they don't even scratch the surface of the energy and conversations taking place. Being in that room, surrounded by people who are genuinely excited and curious by what's on the horizon, is always a humbling and grounding reminder of why I fell in love with events. To top it all off, I met most of my co-workers for the first time after only seeing their Google Meet squares for 11 months. What a stunning crew!
How has AI changed the way you work?
Holy productivity, Batman! A large part of my job is copywriting and overall marketing strategy. And sometimes, those juices just aren't flowing, no matter how hard I try. Drafting prompts to help flesh out campaign ideas, fine-tune a clunky section of an email, or better align my ideas to the larger business goals keeps my day moving. I'm learning how to build an agent now and it's been a super fun process!
What’s one tool or habit that helps you stay on top of your game, either personally or professionally?
My husband and I use Discord to manage our household. We have segmented channels with designated threads to create our weekly grocery list, track important travel details, stay on top of house projects. You name it, it’s in our Discord.
If you could teleport anywhere for lunch, where are you going?
There’s a small restaurant in Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii called The Coffee Shack. The seating is limited, the food is delicious, the vibes are chill, and the views are indescribable. I literally have dreams about this place.
What’s something on your desk that tells us a little bit about you?
I love Legos and one of my favorite movies is How to Train Your Dragon. I have a Lego model of Toothless keeping me company. He's adorable.
