How long you have been at HumanX: just over half a year!

What’s your background, and what brought you to HumanX?

I grew up with a strong passion for giving back, especially in the cancer space. After earning my MBA, I joined the world-renowned Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund in Boston, where I spent nearly nine years on the philanthropy team. My work focused on large-scale fundraising events, corporate partnerships, and sponsorships, helping bring together communities and organizations in support of critical cancer research and patient care.

A few months into my career, I was diagnosed with cancer myself. Being both a patient and an employee at Dana-Farber gave me a deeply personal connection to the mission, and I felt incredibly fortunate to receive care there while contributing to work that impacts so many lives.

Years later, as I moved further into survivorship and became a mom, I started to think more intentionally about how I wanted to spend my time and energy, both personally and professionally. I was ready for a new challenge that would allow me to apply my skills in a different context while building something new.

That’s what drew me to HumanX. The opportunity to be a part of a fast-growing company at the center of the AI ecosystem felt energizing at a moment when the technology is rapidly transforming how we work and connect. I was excited by the chance to bring my experience in partnerships and events into a completely new space, help build something from the ground up, and learn alongside a team that’s thinking deeply about the future.

How would you describe HumanX in 3 words?

Energizing

Forward

Creative

What’s been your favorite HumanX moment so far?

Being on the ops team, we’re onsite the longest, arriving when the space is essentially a blank canvas. Each day, more pieces come to life, and by showtime, it transforms into something really special…a thoughtfully built experience shaped by countless hours of work behind the scenes.

Coming from a different events background, it was incredible to see that transformation unfold in real time. I especially loved partnering with our general contractor and production teams onsite to make sure every detail came together and everything ran seamlessly once the doors opened.

How has AI changed the way you work?

Using Gemini during meetings has made me more present. I’m no longer scrambling to take notes or set reminders. I can focus on the conversation while Gemini captures key points and next steps, making meetings more effective and efficient.

What’s one tool or habit that helps you stay on top of your game, either personally or professionally?

I’ll be honest…I was a Microsoft girl for years before joining HumanX. Outlook and Teams were all I knew, and when I found out we used Slack and Google, I jokingly told my husband I might need to rescind my offer.

Now, Google is my best friend. I love Gmail and how much I can organize within my inbox, and the Tasks app is always pinned to my bookmarks bar. It’s become my go-to system. I keep everything categorized between immediate and long-term priorities, and I’ve fully moved on from paper to-do lists (turns out I’m much more effective with a keyboard than my chicken scratch).

It’s not a knock on Microsoft as I’m sure a lot of these tools existed there, too, but it reinforced a good reminder: change is a good thing. It pushes you out of your comfort zone, helps you learn new systems, and ultimately makes you better at what you do.

What’s one thing that always makes your day better?

Around 1pm everyday daycare uploads pictures of our son having the time of his life. I always get a giggle seeing what he’s been up to and seeing his personality shine through the photos. It’s the jolt I need to finish the day strong until pickup!

If you could teleport anywhere for lunch, where are you going?

Delaney Oyster House in Charleston, SC - and no, ironically not for the Oysters. A caesar salad with grilled shrimp, the best spicy tuna tartare you’ll ever have and some malt vinegar fries. Oh and the Strawberry Shrub, add vodka ;)
