Hannah Murphy is a multi-award-winning business journalist at the Financial Times. For the past decade, she has covered technology and finance, first from the UK and then the US. Based in San Francisco since 2019, she leads the FT’s social media coverage, focused on Meta, X and the billionaires who run them. She was the winner of the ‘Tech Commentator of the Year Award’ at the 2025 UK Tech Awards, and also won a 2024 technology reporting award from the US Society of Advancing Business Editing and Writing (SABEW) for her investigative series into messaging platform Telegram.
