Peter Bailis is chief technology officer at Workday. In this role, he is responsible for the strategy and delivery of technology and architecture across the entire suite of Workday products and AI agents. Prior to joining Workday, Peter was vice president of engineering at Google Cloud, where he led AI for data initiatives, driving the development of generative AI services including Conversational Analytics, NL2SQL, and RAG for structured data. He also oversaw engineering for Google Cloud BI and Looker.
